car has just benefitted from a full strip down restoration by Sterling
Automotive, including a bare metal respray and it has covered dry weather,
thorough road test mileage only, since completion within the last few
weeks.
Sterling Automotive have been accepting commissions for repair and restoration work on a wide range of marques including early Porsche model types such as this one, for over 25 years and have built many cars for the show circuits. We are Porsche Club GB members. Built to the most exacting standards as a 'benchmark' car to demonstrate our craftmanship, it would sit proudly alongside the very finest of marques from any collection. Throughout the many hundreds of hours of work, we have paid the most fastidious attention to detail and have ensured that every possible effort has been made to strive towards an exemplary end result. Purchase receipts amounting to £60,000 are available for examination and will accompany the car. A full photographic record of the restoration has also been compiled. ALC551A has now been returned to the original factory colour of 6404 "light Ivory". We have a copy of the original Kardex along with a letter of origin from Porsche Cars Great Britain Ltd. It comes with a years MOT of course. If you wish to view this car to see the stunning condition for yourself, this can be carried out during office hours, by appointment. I must be clear that the car can NOT be driven unless fully comprehensive insurance cover is proven.
